Ircon, Malaysian co join hands for monorail projects

New Delhi , June 29

IRCON International, the construction arm of Indian Railways, has joined hands with a Malaysian company, M-Trans Holdings, to work together for the planning and construction of monorail projects in various cities in India.

The tie-up has been called IRCON-M-Trans Joint Venture. The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Ircon MD, Mr B.S. Kapur, and the M-Trans Chairman, Mr David Chew, recently, said an Ircon release.

M-Trans Holdings has commissioned the working monorail project of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. It recently bagged a monorail contract worth $1.2 billion in South Korea.
