Xerox enters projector, scanner segments

XEROX India has entered new product categories such as projectors and scanners, to expand presence. With six scanners and two projectors in the Indian market, Xerox will have an offering of over 100 products in India.

The new products are part of its focus on New Office Group (the other two business groups are Production Systems Group and Xerox Global Services).

This category offers a black and white and colour products such as printers, copiers, advanced multifunction systems, faxes, and office supplies such as paper and consumables.

The New Office Group has identified `MFD adoption', `Colour Everywhere' and `Two-Tier' distribution model as the key business priorities for 2005, said Mr Andrew Horne, Managing Director, Zerox India Ltd. Mr Natesh Mani, executive director, New Office Group, said the aggregate market potential was of 4.045 lakh office products in India and Xerox planned to garner a sizeable chunk of it.
