Chennai , June 30 L'OREAL has relaunched Majirel, its salon range of hair colour. Speaking to Business Line at a fashion show that announced the launch, Ms Binaifer Pardiwalla, Group Product Manager (Professional Products), L'Oreal India Private Ltd, said the relaunch was on account of the technological breakthrough the brand made recently. Earlier, a substance called Ionene G in the product would nourish the surface and the cortex of the hair but now with the addition of Incell, it works on the cuticle also, thus covering the entire hair fibre, she explained. Twenty-six new colours have been added to the range. The total number of options is now 76 colours in nine shade categories. Ms Pardiwalla said hair colour has found more acceptance nowadays and people were increasingly using brighter colours that stood out as against classic colours such as brown and mahogany. Majirel is the "mother brand" of its professional range and is now widely used in India, Ms Pardiwalla said, adding that L'Oreal is associated with 4,000 salons in 60 cities. The company supports salons by educating and training hairdressers in hair care, trends and techniques and through merchandising and display.
