Vijaya Bank launches credit card for doctors

Bangalore , June 30

VIJAYA Bank has launched a specially designed card for doctors. It is an internationally valid credit card, which offers an exclusive suit of privileges to compliment their lifestyle.

Mr M.S. Kapur, Chairman and Managing Director, Vijaya Bank, commended the contributions made by Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Hrudayalaya, in healthcare. The bank has introduced the doctor's card not as a commercial venture but as a token of respect to the medical fraternity. Mr Kapur added that Vijaya Bank is always committed to the cause of medical profession, especially to those who intend to set up practice in rural areas for whom the bank has special schemes.

Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Hrudayalaya, who launched the doctor's card here on Wednesday, said it would help the medical fraternity who are on call 24 hours a day. He suggested to the bank's management that it should also come out with a nurse's card.
