Electrolux Kelvinator's Karwal puts in papers

Our Bureau

New Delhi , July 1

THE consumer durables sector is in for another high profile movement with Mr Rajeev Karwal, CEO and Managing Director of Electrolux Kelvinator Ltd, putting in his papers.

Confirming the development, Mr Karwal said he was serving a three-month notice period.

"I will be going on a sabbatical for the next few months. I have not yet decided on my next assignment, though I am looking at several options," he said. It was not immediately clear who would take over the reins of the company from Mr Karwal. The development comes amid speculation of a major restructuring at Electrolux Kelvinator. It is believed the company's manufacturing units and select brands could be acquired by the Videocon group.
