Company Secretaries' meet

HYDERABAD: Aimed at protecting the interests of stakeholders, the company secretary professionals should constantly update themselves on the ever-changing company law regulations, the former Chief Justice of High Courts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Mr Justice B. Subhashan Reddy, advised them here on Friday.

He was addressing the delegates at the 31st regional conference of the Southern Indian Regional Council (SIRC) of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

Speaking on the conference theme `Peals of Wisdom - Challenges to Excel', the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd, Mr K.S. Raju said the challenge was a means to overcome an obstruction and everybody should look at challenges as opportunities to excel.

The ICSI Vice-President, Mr H.M. Choraria, called upon the members to continuously identify emerging opportunities since trade and commerce undergoes changes swiftly having a bearing on the professionals as well.
