Privatisation concerns

This has reference to the article "The right route to privatisation" (Business Line, July 5): The process of privatisation is culture-bound. What privatisation means in Western developed countries need not necessarily apply to India. While privatisation should be allowed so that private entities can register better performance, the interests of the people should also be protected. The right route to privatisation should, therefore, be seen through the eyes of the people's welfare.
