Singapore Airlines hikes fuel surcharge

Our Bureau

New Delhi , July 8

SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) has announced a hike in the fuel surcharge that a passenger has to pay.

In a statement, the airline has said that all long-haul flight tickets issued from July 20 will have a fuel surcharge of $45.

Currently, the airline charges a fuel surcharge of $30 per long-haul flight. In effect, this means that any passenger flying with the airline from India will have to pay $45 in place of $30 earlier as a fuel surcharge.

SIA joins a growing list of international airlines that have hiked the fuel surcharge.
