AAAI plans 2-day seminar to mark its diamond jubilee year

THE Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) will kick off its diamond jubilee year with a two-day seminar titled `Beyond the Horizon,' which will be inaugurated by Mr Andrew Robertson, CEO, BBDO Worldwide, on July 21 in Mumbai.

The list of speakers include Mr Ranjan Kapur, Country Manager, WPP India, Mr Alan Durante of M&M, Mr Peter Mukerjea of Star India, Mr N. Ram of The Hindu, Mr C.K. Ranganathan of CavinKare, and Mr V. Shantakumar of Saatch & Saatchi, among others.

This will be the first of the four seminars that have been planned for the diamond jubilee year.

The other three, dates for which are yet to be finalised, will deal with media, research and creativity, said Mr Srinivasan K. Swamy, President, AAAI.

During the course of the year, Mr Swamy said, AAAI will conduct a convention on advertising, release a book on the `history of advertising,' and stage the inaugural Afro-Asian advertising awards ceremony.

All events are likely to be held in Mumbai.
