Tally Solutions to launch ERP platform

Kripa Raman

Mumbai , July 8

TALLY Solutions, the accounting software company , will shortly launch an Enterprise Resource Planning platform of its own in the country.

The company hopes its ERP package will replicate the success of the various versions of its flagship Tally product.

These versions are used by over 80 per cent of SME segment that uses accounting software as well as by a large number of multinationals in the country.

The ERP package would be based on the Tally technology, said Mr Bharat Goenka, Managing Director of Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The ease of use of Tally would be a feature of this new ERP platform as well.

Tally has been "extraordinarily aggressive over the last nine months", expanding and deepening its over-20,000-strong reseller network, said Mr Goenka.

"We are going to change the way retail business happens in computer software in this country," he said.

"We are trying to see that the pure hardware reseller moves up the chain to become a value-added services reseller."

The company, which had revenues of Rs 200 crore in 2004-2005, expected a growth of between 200 per cent and 300 per cent this year, said Mr Goenka.

Geographical expansion is on the cards as well, a new office in Dubai to be followed by up a new location every fiscal quarter, he said.

Mr Goenka was a director on the board of Reliance Infocomm till the recent restructuring of the Reliance empire.

Tally Solutions ceased to be an associate company of Reliance Infocomm long ago, he said.
