Groundnut oil up on scattered buying

RBD palmolein prices were steady, while groundnut oil ruled higher on the local oils market on Saturday on scattered buying.

Groundnut oil ready was Rs 3 up to Rs 480 for 10 kg. Groundnut oil tin prices in Rajkot rose Rs 15 to Rs 810 for 15 kg. Soyabean refined oil (imported) ruled steady at Rs 365 for 10 kg.

RBD palmolein, too, was steady at Rs 368 for 10 kg. Castor oil commercial grade was steady at Rs 375 per 10 kg.

Castorseed August contracts ended Rs 4 higher at Rs 1,728 a quintal.

Sugar firm: Sugar spot prices ruled firm on the Vashi wholesale market on Saturday on steady but limited buying from local and upcountry traders, a trader said.

Small grade (S-30) was Rs 2 up at Rs 1,794/1,822 a quintal. Medium grade (M-30) was Rs 3 up at Rs 1,820/1,870 a quintal.
