Events Cidex to host expo on pharma, biotech industries Our Bureau
Hyderabad , July 9 MESSE Dusseldorf GmbH, along with its Indian subsidiary Cidex Trade Fairs, is set to host Interkama India 2005 where three concurrent events on pharma, biotech and automation-related industries would be hosted in October. The Project Director of Cidex Trade Fairs, Mr Japesh Thakur, told Business Line, "Following the success of the first essay of Interkama held in Hyderabad in 2003, we have decided to broadbase the reach and tap the market out there in the North." On a visit to Hyderabad, Mr Thakur said the first exhibition was supported by the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society (ISA)-Asia Pacific region and ARC Advisory Group Inc. To consolidate on the gains of the first round held in 2003, the second exhibition will be held concurrent to Pharma India 2005 and Biotech India International 2005. This has been designed since there is synergy between these sectors and automation is finding widespread applications in both pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. The exhibition seeks to serve as a business-to-business (B2B) platform focussing on turnkey solutions for industrial automation, testing and calibration equipment, barcode and industrial networking among other areas. Coinciding with the event, ISA will host a conference on `Integrating Measurement and Process Control Systems with Enterprise Systems.' A CEO conclave addressing harnessing Global Competitiveness of Indian pharmaceutical and food industries, through integrated automation, is aimed at oil and gas, pharma, cement, power, food processing and metallurgy sectors. The meet, to be hosted at IEC-Greater Noida during October 1-3, is aimed at addressing the northern region, particularly, industries coming up in Himachal Pradesh and other States. About 125 companies are expected to participate in the event across various themes. These include Rockwell, Toshvin Analytical, Rapid Pack Engineering, Thermolab, Millipore India, Remi Sales, among others.
