OBC's mobile top-up facility

MUMBAI: Oriental Bank of Commerce will offer mobile top-up facility at its 1,134th branch at Prabhadevi, which was inaugurated on Monday, according to a bank release.

Mr K.N. Prithviraj, Chairman and Managing Director, inaugurated the branch while Mr M.D. Mallaya, Executive Director, inaugurated the mobile top-up facility.

Under the mobile top-up facility, recharging of mobiles can be done through ATMs or by sending SMS.

The facility is available while roaming also. Mobile top-up covers most of the mobile operators in the country.

The branch will also offer other services such as anywhere banking facility, demat services, life and non-life insurance, and foreign exchange and money changing under one roof, the release added.

The bank has also tied up with Weizmann Forex, Western Union's authorised agent to provide inward remittances to India.

The service will initially be available at 100 agent locations of the bank across the country and will be extended to an average of 300 locations by December 2005, the release added.
