Our Bureau

Kolkata , July 11

DENA Bank plans to reduce the net non-performing assets (NPAs), now at 5.23 per cent, to two per cent by March 2006.

The bank, said Mr M. V. Nair, Chairman and Managing Director, hoped to record a 26-per cent increase in advances and a 20-per cent growth in deposits this year. He was addressing a meeting organised by FICCI on Monday.

Dena Bank is looking at a tie-up with SIDBI for funding small-and medium-sized enterprises, Mr Nair said. He said the bank had no immediate plans to tap the capital market.
