Rane resigns

MUMBAI: The former Chief Minister and expelled Shiv Sena leader, Mr Narayan Rane, on Tuesday resigned as the Leader of the Opposition from the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Shiv Sena MLA, Mr Ramdas Kadam, is expected to be the next leader of Opposition. Earlier, the speaker Mr Babasaheb Kupekar upheld the July 6 resolution of Shiv Sena electing Mr Ramdas Kadam as Shiv Sena legislature party leader in place of Mr Rane.
