Thiruvananthapuram , July 13

Kerala will soon announce an interim relief for Government employees in the State.

Announcing this after a meeting of the State Cabinet here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, said the interim relief would be paid to Government employees before the Onam festival in September.

The commission set up to look into the revision of the wages of Government employees has been asked to submit an interim report. The quantum of interim relief will be fixed based on the recommendations in the wage revision commission's interim report, he said.
