CBDT authorises NSDL to receive TDS/TCS returns

New Delhi , July 13

THE Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has specified National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL) as an authorised agency for receiving annual tax deduction at source (TDS) return in paper format.

NSDL has also been authorised to receive the annual tax collection at source (TCS) return in paper format.

Official sources said that NSDL has also been authorised to receive quarterly statements of tax deducted at source in paper as well as electronic format.

Further, quarterly statements of tax collected at source in both paper as well as electronic format can now be submitted to NSDL.
