FIAT India has dropped prices of its B-segment offering, Palio.

Fiat announced on Thursday that it has reduced prices of the Palio by up to Rs 22,000. Following the price cuts, the entry-level Palio is available for Rs 3.64 lakh, while the top-end NV Sport is now priced at Rs 4.39 lakh.

The price reduction is applicable with immediate effect in Mumbai, and will be implemented in other cities over the next few days.

Commenting on the price cut, Dr Paolo Castagna - Managing Director, Fiat India Pvt Ltd, said, "Fiat in order to beat the competition of Swift and Getz has reduced prices of Palio. The customers would benefit a reduction of Rs 22,000. We have recognised various roadblocks and understand the need to create the required consumer confidence, making Fiat the most preferred choice."
