THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government will receive Rs 10.69 crore from the Union Ministry of Industries and Commerce under the Assistance to States in Developing Export Infrastructure and Allied Activities (ASIDE) scheme.

This amount is for the current fiscal and will be used to develop the State's export infrastructure, an official release said. Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra), which is the nodal agency in Kerala for the ASIDE scheme, has so far received Rs 32.3 crore.

Using these funds, 13 projects related to augmenting exports have been implemented, the release added.

Some of the projects being implemented under the scheme are the establishment of a laboratory at the Seafood Park near Kochi, modernisation of the air cargo complex at the Thiruvananthapuram airport, and creation of an international animation zone at the Kinfra Film and Video Park in Thiruvananthapuram.
