Make details on VW deal public: TDP

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , July 17

DEMANDING the State Government to make public all the details pertaining to the controversial Volkswagen car project deal and the suspicious role of the former Major Industries Minister, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana, and other officials of the Ministry, the Opposition Telugu Desam Party has shot off a set of 22 queries.

TDP was responding to an advertisement issued by the State Government in wake of the controversy. The TDP leaders Mr M.V. Mysoora Reddy, Mr K. Ramamohan Rao and Mr M. Narasimhulu, wanted to know, among other details, the steps being taken by the State Government to retrieve Rs 11 crore paid to Vasishta Wahan.

Few of the key questions posed by TDP were: Will the Government make public the discussions that the Andhra Pradesh team led by the Major Industries Minister, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana, had with the Volkswagen India chief on the project? How many officials involved in putting up the G.O. directing release of Rs 11 crore to Vasishta Wahan account have been pulled up?
