To do many things do only one thing at once

Khan was making video-grabs of TV images to see if he could hone his detective skills, and Jogin tried to read HP reviews on the Net after having failed to get a copy! Dakshinamoorthy prayed for world peace at the nearby mandir, but Sridevi sent an SMS to all of them: CHAT! Hop in.

Sri : Hi, everybody. Is the glass half-full?

Kay: You seem to be as optimistic as the market!

Jog: Looks more bullish as markets surged toward close on Friday.

Dax: Bulls took over the reins once again. Further rally in the offing?

Sri : Wait, if only it crosses 2,225 on the NSE!

Kay: That’s okay, but don’t look at numbers so closely.

Jog: See the trend, sentiment and FII inflows, you want to say?

Kay: True, FIIs were the major force in the bullish market now.

Sri : I’m happy they’re creating more assets for small investors!

Jog: Sri, CHAT is ‘Criminal History Access Tool’ in Michigan?

Kay: Also, Conversational Hypertext Access Technology…

Dax: And Checklist for Autism in Toddlers, on www.acronymfinder.com!

Sri : The way Sensex rose on Friday...

Kay: It looks another 200 points rise is possible, you want to say. LOL

Jog: But as I have said in the past, be careful. Very careful, that is!

Dax: You spoilsport! Is there no magic wand with anybody here?

Kay: Wait, Dax! Please note that Jog talks sense!

Sri : Yeah, the market can crash any moment.

Jog: The more it goes up, the sharper would be the fall!

Sri : If you know the law of gravity!

Dax: Looks like the majority wins! Any stock specific suggestions, koi?

Kay: Pennar Industries is a stock that was buzzing last week.

Jog: Hmm…Further upside is possible.

Dax: Because of restructuring in the company?

Sri : Right. But the Rs 10 face value share will get converted to Rs 5.

Jog: It’ll also cut a lot of interest cost due to debt restructuring.

Kay: Another debt restructuring story happening is Haryana Sheet Glass.

Jog: The stock is always on upward circuit everyday.

Sri : Buy it, if you can get it in the morning!

Dax: Did anyone notice ITI? It is buzzing.

Kay: Good that you mentioned it. Buy the stock.

Jog: Heard that the co has written to the Government to sell its land.

Sri : If that happens, a lot of cash comes into the company!

Dax: Infosys fell over 5 per cent last week, despite reasonable Q1 results.

Kay: It’s on my buy list for the medium term. It may rebound!

Sri : In mid-cap, Escorts and EID Parry are quite bullish. Buy.

Jog: Apollo Hospitals looks healthy. :-)

Dax: With P&G shareholders approving Gillette buy, we can see some big action in Indian Shaving Products counter.

Kay: I was crunching last week’s numbers. Adlabs Films gained about 6 per cent and Tainwala was up on July 11 by 5 per cent.

Sri : Motherson and IVRCL booked more than 4 per cent gains.

Dax: While Sterlite, Siemens, Rajshree Sugars, and Hind Copper were in the region of 3 per cent. About a per cent less was what ABB, Finance Tech and Reliance enjoyed.

Jog: Of the other scrips that we’d mentioned last week, the ones that ended up on a positive note on Monday were Hindalco, Satyam Comp, ONGC, BHEL and IDBI.

Sri : Koi dekha the dance of Peacock Industries!

Kay: Let me whisper about accumulation by a big player…

Jog: Of Biopac & Futura Polymer?

Dax: I’m watching Wall Street Finance, Gslot Entertainment and...

Jog: Also move Sanghvi Movers into your list!

Sri : TCS, don’t lose sight of it.

Kay: There’s something about Aptech. You know about SSI transferring a part of its holding to a big player, and about the open offer.

Jog: Sharp run up. Likely to cool off. I read a quote of Henry Ford...

Dax: “Wealth, like happiness, is never attained when sought after directly. It comes as a by-product of providing a useful service.” Like chatting.

Kay: Lost wealth may be replaced by industry, lost knowledge by study, lost health by temperance or medicine, but lost time is gone forever.

Sri : That’s of Samuel Smiles! He also said, “The shortest way to do many things is to do only one thing at once.” Take care!
