Titan Ind posts Rs 5.02-cr net profit

TITAN Industries has registered a 44-per cent growth in sales with income from operations rising to Rs 300.16 crore in the first quarter of 2005-06 from Rs 209.16 crore during the same period last year.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 5.02 crore against a net loss of Rs 5.78 crore.

The company's profit before depreciation, interest and taxes increased to Rs 13.29 crore (Rs 4.58 crore).

The Time Products Division of the company recorded a growth of 41 per cent to Rs 134.48 crore (Rs 95.54 crore).

The Jewellery Division also recorded sales of Rs 166.12 crore (Rs 114.12 crore), reflecting a growth of 46 per cent.
