Eskay K`n'it back in black

MUMBAI: Eskay K`n'it (India) Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 2.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, over a loss of Rs 61 lakh in the year-ago period. Net sales were Rs 82.28 crore (Rs 73.88 crore).

The company also plans to expand its spinning capacity to 1.4 lakh spindles from the current 75,000 spindles. It is planning to raise garmenting capacity from 0.5 million pieces now to one million pieces.

The shares of Eskay closed at Rs 5.39 over the previous price of Rs 5.17.
