Andhra Petrochemicals Q1 sales up

HYDERABAD: ANDHRA Petrochemicals Ltd has recorded a growth in sales turnover and posted a net profit for the first quarter of current fiscal ended June 30 as compared to net loss in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

As per the un-audited financial results announced, the company has achieved gross sales of Rs 50.99 crore for the quarter against Rs 45.65 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal, net sales of Rs 43.68 crore (Rs 39.29 crore) and a net profit of Rs 1.64 crore as against a net loss of Rs 90.98 lakh in the corresponding quarter.

For the fiscal ended March 2005, the company posted a net profit of Rs 11.26 crore on net sales turnover of Rs 197.12 crore.

The stock closed at Rs 17.56 on the BSE on Wednesday, an increase of 4.77 per cent over Tuesday's closing price.
