HYDERABAD: Dr Batra's Positive Health Clinic Private Ltd has opened its third clinic in Hyderabad, at Khairatabad, taking its all- India total to 36.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the Chairman and Managing Director of the clinic, Dr Mukesh Batra, said incidence of respiratory ailments was going up in the twin cities. "Air pollution in Andhra Pradesh has reached alarming levels, leading to ailments such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis and sinusitis," he said.

There were 15-20 million people suffering from asthma alone.

Keeping this in mind, Dr Batra's introduced `Spirometer' that helped in analysing and diagnosing respiratory diseases. In the last three years, Dr Batra's had attended to some 13,000 patients in Andhra Pradesh. Stating that homoeopathy offered effective and cheaper medical solutions, Dr Batra said some cases, which needed emergency attention, were referred to allopathic doctors.
