Our Bureau

Pune , July 21

YES Bank and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance today entered into a bancassurance partnership under which Yes Bank would market the general insurance products offered by Bajaj Allianz.

Talking to presspersons, the Chief Executive Officer of Bajaj Allianz, Mr Kamesh Goyal, noted that this partnership would allow his company to tap the customer base of Yes Bank, while for Yes Bank it would be an additional revenue stream from its non-banking business.

He noted that Yes Bank had been added to its bancassurance partners during the first half of the current calendar year along with UTI, IDBI, United Bank of India.

With this, the total number of bancassurance partners with Bajaj Allianz is 14, he said.

He said that for the next half of the current calendar year, "there might not be any more tie-ups".

Mr Goyal said the company has also launched its new health insurance product, Silver Health - a medical reimbursement insurance plan for senior citizens.
