Personal Products Godrej Consumer Q1 net up 57 pc, to pay Rs 7.5 interim Our Bureau

Mumbai , July 22 GODREJ Consumer Products Ltd has reported a 57 per cent increase in profit after tax at Rs 27.1 crore for the quarter ended June. The board has recommended a 75 per cent first interim dividend. Higher sales, robust brand growth, and all-round efficiencies drove profitability. Sales revenues moved up 23 per cent to Rs 167.7 crore. Godrej brand sales moved up by 22 per cent. Hair colours grew by 22 per cent and branded toilet soaps by 20 per cent. "The external environment too continues to improve with an overall buoyancy in the economy and increasing consumer spend, enabling the FMCG sector to regain its share of wallet," said a release quoting Mr Adi Godrej, Chairman and Managing Director.
