Shreyas Shipping Q1 net zooms 333 pc

MUMBAI: Shreyas Shipping Ltd has reported a 333 per cent increase in net profit in the first quarter of the current fiscal to touch Rs 11.27 crore, as against Rs 2.60 crore registered in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal.

During the quarter, the company's income increased to Rs 34.23 crore (Rs 17.71 crore).

The company has finalised a capital expenditure programme of Rs. 350 crore to be implemented in the next 12 months. Further, in order to provide a focus on logistics services, the company has approved an investment in Shreyas Relay Systems Ltd to make the company a wholly owned subsidiary of Shreyas.

This company will be involved in providing customised multi-modal logistics and transportation services, including warehousing, distribution and consolidation.
