Hindustan Construction Co net up at Rs 2.66 cr in Q1

MUMBAI: Hindustan Construction Co Ltd (HCC) has reported a 72 per cent jump in net profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal to touch Rs 2.66 crore.

During the quarter, the company's turnover was Rs 479.43 crore, representing an increase of 26 per cent compared to the first quarter of the last fiscal. The company at present has an order book position of Rs 5,301 crore.

"The recent months have seen HCC bag some major contracts, especially those involving road projects," the Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Ajit Gulabchand, said.
