Electrical Goods Siemens Q4 net up 11 pc Our Bureau
MUMBAI: Siemens Ltd has reported a 11 per cent jump in its net profit in the last quarter to touch Rs 39.5 crore, as against Rs 35.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal. During the quarter, the company's turnover stood at Rs 597.4 crore, as compared to Rs 445.7 crore.A company press release said the major contributors to the sales turnover and the growth drivers were the power, automation and drives and healthcare businesses. During the quarter, the company's new orders flow increased by 257 per cent to stand at Rs 1,442.7 crore. The company received major orders like those from Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation for propulsion system and electrical equipment, Power Grid for a 765-KB substation and Neyveli Lignite. Mr Juergen Schubert, Managing Director of the company, said: "Even excluding some large orders, our businesses, both domestic as well as exports, grew by more than 40 per cent."
