Call for integration of farm data

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: Dr R.K. Samanta, Joint Director of National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, has called for integration of diverse spatial data sets of natural resources, socio-economic conditions and crop and livestock resources.

He was addressing the valedictory of the summer school on Geographical Information System (GIS) based decision support systems for sustainable agriculture here on Monday.

He said GIS provided an effective framework to integrate such diverse spatial data sets into decision support systems that helped to define and resolve the complex issues related to sustainable management of agricultural production systems.
