CII summit to have special session on Karnataka

THE third CII infrastructure summit, SUMINFRA, which opens in Hyderabad on Thursday, will have a special session called Invest Karnataka.

The Chief Minister, Mr Dharam Singh, will be a special guest at the inaugural session on July 28. The Industries & Infrastructure Minister, Mr P.G.R. Sindhia, will be the key speaker at the special session on Karnataka, according to a statement from the Industries Ministry.

The focus of two-day SUMINFRA will be sustainable public-private participation in infrastructure development.

The Karnataka delegation will make a presentation on developing PPP projects in the State. It will hold individual meetings with prospective investors in pharmaceuticals, textiles and food.

The summit is jointly organised by CII and the southern States to highlight the opportunities in agriculture, tourism, roads, ports and urban infrastructure.

The earlier editions were held in Chennai and Bangalore.
