New Delhi , July 28

AMRIT Food, part of Amrit Bansapati Co Ltd, has launched ready-to-use Liquid Ice Cream Mix.

The mix can be used for making both hard as well as soft ice cream. It can also be used in preparation of shakes, fruit creams and desserts.

The product is manufactured through Ultra-high temperature (UHT) process. The process removes all bacteria from the product. The mix comes in aseptic pouches and has a shelf life of three months. It comes at a price of Rs 60 per litre.

Eyeing a share of the Rs 600-crore ice cream market in the country, the company is focussing mainly on large institutional buyers.

Amrit Banaspati Group, a Rs 600-crore company, clocked a turnover of Rs 20 crore in 2004-05. It is the owner of the Gagan brand of milk.
