GNFC's Q1 net rises at Rs 61 cr

AHMEDABAD: The Vadodara-based Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 61 crore for the first quarter of 2005-06. The figure is over one-and-half times the Rs 23-crore net profit logged in the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 165.21 per cent.

The fertiliser and chemicals manufacturer logged an 18 per cent increase in its sales turnover at Rs 313.9 crore as against Rs 265.59 crore in the period under review.
