New Delhi , July 30

THE Ministry of Company Affairs has decided to extend the Simplified Exit Scheme, 2005 by a month. The scheme, which gave an opportunity to defunct companies of getting their names struck off from the register of the Registrar of Companies (RoCs), through a simplified procedure was to come to an end on July 31.

According to an official release, on account of difficulties experienced by companies due to adverse weather conditions in different parts of the country, the Government has decided to extend the scheme till August 31.

The scheme was launched from February 1.
