Kalam to visit Hyderabad

THE President, Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, will arrive in Hyderabad on August 4 as part of a two-day visit.
The next day he will inaugurate the premises of the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Development at Gandipet. He will later interact with the students of the Jubilee Hills Public School, according to his tentative programme.
In the afternoon, Mr Kalam will visit the Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory. He will go round the Centre for Enabling Technologies, which makes materials and develop technologies for the country's programmes such as the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA).
He will proceed to the neighbouring Research Centre Imarat (RCI), another critical laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation.
Mr Kalam is scheduled to inaugurate a new facility and interact with scientists at RCI, which is one of the premier missile technology development centres. The President is also expected to spend sometime with students at the lab school.
Later in the day, Mr Kalam will deliver the convocation address at the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Urdu University, according to information available here.
