HYDERABAD: The Economist of Confederation of Indian Industry, Mr Amirulla Khan, said "happy days are here again for engineering graduates. With about 3.5 lakh engineers coming out of about 1500 colleges across the country, and the GDP growing at nearly 8 per cent, the job market is witness to buoyancy."

Speaking at a meeting hosted by IQRA society, Mr Khan said that the engineering graduates need to give up their local approach and start thinking globally in order to stake their claim to the job market. Prof. Abbas Ali of Osmania University, said mere technical skills are not enough and engineering graduates need to diversify and enrich conceptual and people related skills.
