Centre help in restoring power

NEW DELHI: The Power Minister, Mr P.M. Sayeed, today took stock of the power situation in Mumbai and assured the Maharashtra administration of all support from the Centre to restore normalcy of electricity supply in the city.

Mr Sayeed spoke with the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Mr Vilasrao Deshmukh, an official release said here.

The Secretary, Power, Mr R.V. Shahi, has been instructed to be in touch with the Chairman of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board and the management of Reliance Energy so as to improve the power position speedily, the release said.
