Ceramics Hind Sanitaryware net up 70 pc in first quarter Our Bureau
New Delhi , Aug. 1 HINDUSTAN Sanitaryware and Industries Ltd (HSIL), manufacturer of bathroom and kitchen products, reported an increase of 69.83 per cent in its profit after tax at Rs 6.98 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2005 compared with Rs 4.11 crore for the same period last year, a company release said. Its gross sales increased by 40.06 per cent to Rs 93.66 crore (Rs 66.87 crore). The share of the company opened at the BSE on Monday at Rs 156.90 and closed lower at Rs 152.65. HSIL was established in 1960 by the Somany group. It has a turnover of Rs 330 crore. Its plant is located in Hyderabad.
