Record handling of IOP at Chennai port

Chennai , Aug. 1

THE Chennai Port Trust has created a new record by handling 36,150 tonnes of iron ore pellets in 24 hours by loading on to the vessel Jia Yong Shan. The total shipment of 52,176 tonnes was loaded on to the vessel within 48 hours, says a Chennai port release.

Sical was the steamer agent and stevedore for the consignment.
