NEW DELHI: Net 4 India Ltd, an IP communications provider, reported a net profit of Rs 1.48 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2005, a 391-per cent growth over the corresponding year-ago period.

The company reported revenues of Rs 15.02 crore.

A company release said here that "With a 50.19 per cent increase in net profit quarter on quarter, we have started ramping up our operations. We continue to grow our business and generate cash profits from operations."

"A large proportion of our revenues continue to come from the Internet telephony and Web hosting services. Both these areas have also managed to grow in line with the access business. Overall, this quarter has proven to be a good start," Mr Jasjit Sawhney, CEO, Net 4 India Ltd, said.
