A-C buses from KSRTC

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is introducing a fleet of air-conditioned buses under a new category, the Kerala Air-Conditioned Bus Services.

Announcing this, Mr G. Venugopal, Executive Director (Operations), said here that the fleet is being introduced for the convenience of passengers who prefer luxury buses.

The Minister of Finance, Mr Vakkom Purushothaman, will launch the Thiruvananthapuram-Bangalore service here on Wednesday in the presence of the Transport Minister, Mr N. Sakthan.

These made-to-order buses will feature semi-sleeper pushback seats with a reading lamp for each passenger. It will also have TV/DVD players and mobile phone services on board.
