Growing cheer

Coffee beans in growing stage at a plantation in Muvattupuzha near Kochi. The country exports 70 to 80 per cent of its output though it produces only 4.5 per cent of the world coffee output. However, with good rains and new plantations on the horizon, the country's coffee production is likely to go up from 2,75,000 tonnes last year.
