Hyderabad , Aug 2

RAJKAMAL Electronics Pvt Ltd, the city-based chain of electronic stores with three decades of retailing experience, has chalked out a major expansion plan involving international shopping infrastructure and online connectivity among the retail chain, according to its Managing Director, Mr Kamlesh Shah.

Currently having showrooms in the twin cities with total sales of over Rs 32 crore during last fiscal, the company proposes to set up six more, Mr Shah told newspersons here on Tuesday.

The company also plans to focus on ERP technology, online connectivity among its retail chain network and extensive human resource training for further strengthening customer service and satisfaction levels, the RK Electronics Executive Director, Mr Rajesh Shah, said.

Attributing the success of RK in the twin cities to the strong bonding with millions of customers, he said nearly 40 per cent of the company's revenues come from the repeated purchases of long-term customers.

"In the last 30 years, some of the pioneers in retailing have faded away. Big brand names in consumer durables have also collapsed. But RK Electronics has not only survived but has also grown year after year, thanks to our loyal customer base," he said.

The company proposes to invest over Rs 250 lakh on setting up of physical shopping infrastructure and more than Rs 10 lakh on ERP and online connectivity in the next couple of years.

Of the proposed six new showrooms, two would come up during the current fiscal itself and the company targets a total turnover of Rs 45 crore by fiscal-end, Mr Kamlesh Shah said.
