Goldkist mobile phone academy

NEW DELHI: Singapore-based Goldkist Group, distributor of mobile phones, has set up Mobile Technology Academy in Delhi to provide training in the field of mobile phone technology, sales and management.

With the mobile phone subscriber base at over 56 million in the country, the group felt the need for a specialised training centre which will give the students an opportunity to learn mobile servicing, sales and channel development, retail store management and advertising and marketing strategies.

The course offers jobs after successful training and 400 hours of industry internship. The academy will have lectures by visiting experts of the mobile industry.

The course is open to 10+2 pass outs and its duration is one year. The fee is Rs 27,000 plus service tax. However, scholarship will be provided to the financially weak students.
