Retailing Pizza Corner enters Kerala Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Bangalore-based pizza chain Pizza Corner has entered Kerala with its first outlet in Thiruvananthapuram. The restaurant, which is a dine-in facility that can seat 52 people, was inaugurated today. The restaurant in Thiruvananthapuram is operated by a franchisee, said Mr Anoop Sequeira, Chief Executive Officer, Global Franchise Architects, which is the parent company of Pizza Corner. The company is looking at an aggressive franchising strategy to fuel its growth, he explained. The company is looking at starting a Pizza Corner outlet in Kochi in the next few months, he said. It is also considering the possibility of launching its `express' outlets in the State, he added. Besides a range of pizzas, the outlet in Thiruvananthapuram serves soups, salads, pastas, bakes, deserts and beverages. By the middle of the month, the company plans to start offering free delivery within the city. The outlet will also be a part of the pizza chain's `food for good' programme through which a portion of the money obtained from the sale of every pizza goes to a special fund used to support underprivileged children.
