Tata AIG Life hikes capital by Rs 60 cr

Mumbai , Aug. 5

TATA AIG Life Insurance Company has announced a hike in its share capital by an additional Rs 60 crore, taking the total capital base to Rs 381 crore.

According to a press release, Mr Farrokh Kavarana, Chairman, Tata AIG Life, said, "This additional capital will further strengthen the company's solvency requirements and ensure we meet the capital adequacy norms required for growth plans."

Tata AIG Life reported a total premium income of Rs 497 crore for the financial year 2004-05.
