THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Government employees will receive interim relief along with their salary for September.

According to the State Finance Minister, Mr Vakkom Purushothaman, the Government is open to considering the payout with retrospective effect from April this year.

A final decision in this respect will be taken at a meeting of the Cabinet next week or immediately thereafter.

The Minister was addressing newspersons after receiving the interim report from the Pay Commission set up earlier with a mandate to go into the whole gamut of the issue.
