New policy: FM operators get more time to file response

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Aug. 8

THE Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Authority (TDSAT) on Monday gave some more time to private FM radio operators to file their response to the new radio policy brought out by the Government.

TDSAT is hearing a petition filed by private FM operators and has asked them to file their response in the next four weeks, fixing September 15 as the next date of hearing.

The petition on behalf of private broadcasters filed by Entertainment Network India, Radio Today and Music Broadcasting had contended that the licence fee charged from them was too high which made their business unsustainable.
