Zee Sports bags telecast rights for Afro-Asian Cup

ZEE Sports has acquired the telecast rights of the Afro-Asian Cup for the Indian subcontinent. The inaugural the tournament will have three ODIs and will be played in South Africa.

In a statement, Mr Gary Lovejoy, Chief Operating Officer, Zee Sports, said, "We are delighted to acquire the broadcasting rights for the inaugural edition of the Afro-Asian Cup. This acquisition is of vital strategic importance to Zee Sports considering the fact that cricket is a passion among the masses in India. We will endeavour to present these matches with high production values and innovative programming."

He further added that the telecast will include preview and review shows, special programming and advertising innovations, interviews and match reports.
